Acutetox Assay - Ecotox

The OECD 236 Guideline, a test required for ecotoxicological regulatory purposes, describes the Fish Embryo Toxicity (FET) test in zebrafish to determine the acute toxicity of chemicals to embryonic fish in the environmental risk assessment of chemicals.

However, the study design of this test is not suited for screening of a high number of chemicals, being time-consuming and impractical for the early discovery phases.

As a solution, Biobide offers a simplified version of the OECD 236 Guideline: a fast and cost/time-effective screening assay to assess the aquatic toxicity of chemicals in zebrafish embryos.
