Services Provided:  The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders. (hereinafter referred to as “GAEL”) coaching initiative is a membership benefit offered to school districts with an MOU with the GAEL Coaching Division at no additional cost to the member.  GAEL technical assistance coaches will support members with their individual professional growth needs. Support from coaches includes, but is not limited to, assisting the member with professional tasks such as public relations, maximizing FTE, transportation, facilities and operations, human resources, special education, and federal programs and providing feedback; helping the member obtain professional resources related to the member’s individual needs; and providing aid in various service support areas. Services may be provided over email, telephone, or online through a communication platform such as Teams. Throughout the working relationship, the coach will engage in direct and personal conversations. The member understands that successful coaching requires a cooperative collaborative approach between member and coach.

Member Responsibilities:  All work-related matters remain the exclusive responsibility of the GAEL member, and GAEL coaches are not responsible or liable for the employment performance of any member.

Confidentiality:  The coach agrees to keep all communications private, as allowed by law. GAEL coaches are not members of the legal staff; therefore, correspondence with a GAEL coach does not create an attorney-client relationship between an individual member and GAEL.  If you wish for your coach to speak to someone outside your interactions, you need to provide your coach written permission (original letter, fax or email) to do so. Exceptions to confidentiality relate to circumstances such as intent to seriously harm someone, child abuse, thoughts of suicide, etc. Any illegal or unethical behaviors will be reported to the client’s school district (Human Resources Dept.) Otherwise, all remaining information is kept confidential.

Waiver and Release of Liability:  GAEL has made a judicious attempt to vet all coaches' level of experience and provided training for each coach, however, you (the member) agree that using any of these coaching services is entirely at your own risk. Coaching services are provided “as is," without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including without limitation any warranty for information services, coaching, uninterrupted access, or products and services provided through or in connection with the service. This service is requested at the member's own choice and with inherent singular responsibility. Any actions or lack of actions, taken by the member of such advice is done so solely by choice and responsibility of the member and is neither the responsibility nor liability of the coach or GAEL. The member takes full responsibility in the decisions they make after being coached as well as the consequences. The member enters into coaching with full understanding that they are responsible for creating their own results. Periodically, the coach may provide links to other websites or written print material which may be of value, interest and convenience to you. This does not constitute endorsement of material at those sites or any associated organization product or service. It is the responsibility of the user to make their own informed decision about the accuracy of the information at those sites and print material including their privacy policies. In no event shall the coach be liable for any incident or consequential damages resulting from use of the material.  In consideration of the above-mentioned risks of participating in these coaching sessions, and as consideration for the right to participate in the coaching sessions, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, or personal representatives, knowingly and voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in the coaching sessions, and do hereby release and forever discharge the GAEL coach and GAEL, and their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns, for any injury, including but not limited to damages, economical or emotional loss, that I may suffer as a direct result of my participation in the aforementioned coaching sessions.

The client should always keep a focus on district policies, procedures, and state law when making decisions.  I am voluntarily participating in the aforementioned coaching sessions, and I am participating in the activity entirely at my own risk.
