The Korean language has almost nothing in common with English, so before you travel to Korea, it's important to understand the main differences, including:
- A different rhythmic structure dominates, with very little inflection in any words
- Non-verbal communication is key: bow to individuals as greeting and farewell
- Don't be offended by silence
